Christiane Janko is particularly fond of still life which she paints with rich, full-flavored gusto. Her work borders on the abstract as she keeps to the essence of her subject matter which provides a feel of serenity and sobriety. Color and form are the only rythm in her work and come directly from her imagination. With her use of transparent but rich colors and her treatment of glazes, she creates a delicate and sensitive word. This is an artist who is destined for a great future, and whom we have been honored and proud to represent in the USA since 1999. | |
